Terms and Conditions

Payments:

Payments may be made by all major credit or debit cards.

Reservations and Payments:

All reservations require payment equal to 50% of the total reservation amount at the time of booking to secure the reservation. The remaining balance, including rent, taxes, fees, and any applicable charges, is due 30 days prior to arrival and will automatically be charged to the payment method on file. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require payment in full at the time of booking. Following the reservation, a Vacation Rental Agreement will be sent and must be signed and returned within 10 days. Failure to return the signed agreement may result in cancellation. Credit cards, debit cards, and checks are accepted. Applicable NC state/county sales and occupancy taxes apply.

The individual making the reservation and the individual checking into the property must be at least 25 years of age. Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure reserves the right to request valid government-issued identification at check-in. Reservations found to be in violation of the minimum age requirement are subject to cancellation without refund, including on the scheduled date of arrival.

Cancellation Policies:

Holiday reservations are non-refundable. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and received by Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure. If Tenant cancels the reservation more than 45 days prior to arrival, Tenant shall receive a refund of all payments made, less a cancellation fee of $75.00. Cancellations received between 45 days and 14 days prior to arrival will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the total reservation charges. Cancellations received within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable.

Requests to transfer a reservation from one property to another property, or from one set of dates to another, within 14 days of arrival may be treated as a cancellation and subject to cancellation charges up to the full amount of the reservation. No refunds will be given for early departures, delayed arrivals, weather conditions, or unused portions of the reservation or package.

Reservation Prices Do Not Include:

Expenses and items not specifically listed as part of the reservation, including but not limited to transportation, gratuities, meals, travel insurance, telephone charges, personal expenses, and other incidental costs.

Responsibility:

Tenant assumes responsibility for all personal property brought onto the Premises by Tenant or Tenant’s guests and agrees that Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure and Property Owner shall not be liable for loss, theft, or damage to such property.

Tenant further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure and Property Owner from liability arising from Tenant’s occupancy or use of the Property, except to the extent caused by the negligence or willful misconduct of Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure or Property Owner.

Use:

The Premises shall be used solely for residential vacation purposes. Occupancy limits, community rules, and all applicable laws and ordinances must be observed at all times. Unauthorized parties, events, commercial activities, or unlawful conduct are strictly prohibited.

Most properties do not permit pets. Bringing unauthorized pets into a non-pet-friendly property may result in additional fees, cleaning charges, or termination of occupancy without refund.

Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited inside all residences and enclosed areas. Violations of the no-smoking policy may result in additional cleaning charges, remediation costs, damages, and administrative fees.
